High There, Tiffany!
Hey, High, Hello! Welcome to High There Bud, a series introducing the amazing buds that you’ve grown to know and love here at Prairie and Luna. Our first bud is the lovely Tiffany, aka. Spliffany! If you’ve been guided through your cannabis purchase by Tiff, you’ve experienced her passion for finding the perfect cannabis fit for each and every customer through our doors. As a grower, her standards for weed are high and so are her expectations for the legal market. She believes in the project of legalization wholeheartedly and is continuously optimistic about the potential of this industry to positively impact Canadian lives. She is concerned with equity, with product quality, and with transparency. These values guide her as she helps build our inventory every week and in every budtending interaction. So many of our customers rely on her knowledge, knowing that if Tiff smoked it last night and loved it, you’ve got to give it a try. 1. Share a bit about your cannabis journey.
My cannabis journey has evolved so much since I discovered it many moons ago. I started smoking cannabis as a social thing. A way to enhance my experiences and let's keep it real... I wanted to get high and laugh my ass off with my friends. I loved how it made me feel. When I consume cannabis, I become more engaged, it makes me a better listener, my fears and negative thoughts are no longer at the forefront of my mind. Overall I enjoy life more. Now as an experienced consumer, I have curated over time a cultivar (strain) menu that is unique to me and my terpene preferences. I like to incorporate them into my wellness journey.
2. What is your role here at Prairie & Luna and what is one thing that you love to chat about with customers?
I am now a Retail Store Manager at P&L and a Budtender at heart always. I, along with Jenna, Quinn, and your awesome suggestions, decide which cannabis products to bring into the store. When I'm out on the floor talking with customers, the one thing I love to do is help people feel comfortable and confident in their product choices. I think it is important to remember that cannabis is unique to the individual. It is my job as your budtender to guide you, not simply tell you what you will like. For example; While I may love a good Blue Dream pre-roll, high in Pinene terpenes to motivate me, your preference may be more of a relaxing time and you find Blue Dream to be waaaay too overstimulating and in turn, have a really bad time. By asking you the right questions and listening to each person's unique story, I am able to help them pick something that works for them and may enhance their experience and that makes me feel so good!
3. What’s your favourite way to consume cannabis? What’s your go-to strain or product and why?
I looooove a big ol juicy pre-roll (right now I am living for the peanut butter mac by BLK MKT). I won't say joints/pre-rolls are the best way to consume health-wise, but it has definitely been my 1st choice of consumption for years, until purchasing a Pax 3 in 2021. With my vape device, I am able to consume at a safer heat temperature, and with the concentrate oven insert, it gives me the ability to try a whole new world of concentrates.
4. What’s your favourite song right now?
My favourite song right now that seems to be on repeat in my head would have to be "Fountains" By Drake feat. Tems. It is a whole vibe!!!!
5. What’s your favourite hobby/activity?
My favourite activity would definitely be working in our greenhouse and puttering around the gardens. I am at my happiest surrounded by plant life. The energy they give off is like no other.
6. And of course, a little tribute to all the fur buds!
This is my 5th child Hagrid. He is a Pyrenees and Australian shepherd mix. He thinks he's human and loves a good tummy rub. He is a HUGE teddy bear with a bark bigger than his non-existent bite.
